Meet the CCIPB Business Development Ambassador – China

Renátó Györki, Business Development Ambassador - China

As a business development ambassador, Mr. Renátó Györki promotes the expansion of the market by introducing advanced ideas technologies and resources, also participates in transitional investment, cooperation and trade to help local enterprises reach the global market.

The establishment of the new role of CCIPB Business Development Ambassador aims to promote commercial and trade exchanges between China and Hungary, also helps to enhance regional cooperation and improve the international competitiveness of the two sides in the context of globalization.

Its main functions include:

  • Promote bilateral trade: by providing information consultation, exhibition organization, business inspection and other services, help enterprises develop markets in China / Hungary, promote the exchange of goods and services, and increase import and export opportunities.
  • Build a communication platform: Provide a communication and cooperation platform for Sino-Hungarian enterprises, investors and government agencies to enhance mutual understanding and solve problems and obstacles in trade exchanges.
  • Policy support and information sharing: help enterprises understand the policies and regulations, market trends and investment opportunities of Hungary and China, so that enterprises can effectively avoid risks and find suitable investment projects in the other country.

Chambers' and Regional Relations with China

In March 2026, the Villány–Siklós Wine Route Association and the Enterprise Europe Network office of CCIPB organised a business forum in Siklós focusing on Chinese export opportunities for local wineries. CCIPB’s Business Development Ambassador – China presented current trends of the Chinese wine market, premium wine demand and market entry possibilities. The event supported local wineries with practical information on export, distribution and international business connections.

Within the framework of the CCIPB Business Development Ambassador Programme, economic cooperation between the Pécs-Baranya region and Chengdu, Sichuan Province has significantly expanded. Following several Chinese business delegations visiting the region in 2024–2025, a CCIPB and business delegation travelled to Chengdu in October 2025. The programme included industrial visits, B2B meetings and cooperation talks in the fields of hydrogen technology, energy, digitalisation and manufacturing. As a result, several Chinese companies expressed cooperation interest towards Hungarian partners, while a Chinese delegation visit to Hungary is already under preparation for 2026.

In 2024 the CCIPB held discussions with the representatives of the Central-European Trade and Logistics Co-operation Zone about exhibition and business partnership opportunities for the China Brand Fair to be held in 2025 at Hungexpo, Budapest.

A business delegation from Jiangsu province arrived in the county in 2023, organised by the Baranya County Municipality. The Chinese experts visited the economic, business, academic and scientific life of the region. At the event, Szabolcs Rabb, Secretary General of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, presented the economic trends of the region, as well as its key sectors and enterprises

The unveiling ceremony of the Jinan International City Garden, China with Kozármisleny, Hungary was held on May 5, 2023. The Mayor of Kozármisleny City signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Chinese city of Jinan and the leaders of Pingyin district. Jinan is one of the twin cities of Kozármisleny in Baranya.

The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Pécs-Baranya (CCIPB) has been actively fostering relations with China to enhance economic cooperation and investment opportunities. In 2016, the Hungarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (HCCI) signed a cooperation agreement with the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), aiming to strengthen bilateral trade and investment.

The Hungarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry established the Hungarian-Chinese Section on 7 March, 2005. Its members cooperate with Chinese-related partner institutions. Large Chinese companies are coming in and making significant investments, with major Chinese companies such as Bank of China, Huawei and Wanhua. As part of One Belt, One Road Initiative, the Záhony logistics, rail and freight hub will also be upgraded, which will have a significant impact on rail freight traffic between the EU and China.

In March 2004, the international affairs team of the Zhejiang Provincial Government visited Baranya and started discussions on development areas. Education, research, economy and tourism were the main areas of discussion.
